Sixteen Types
Four preference axes, sixteen combinations, one starting point.
Inspired by Jungian ideas about how people prefer to focus energy, take in information, decide and organize life. Answer 40 short statements and get a four-letter type plus a sense of how strongly you lean on each axis.

What this test looks at
This is an original, informal quiz inspired by Jung's ideas, not a formal instrument. It measures preferences, meaning what feels natural, not ability or how you must behave. Your scores sit on a spectrum, so a result near the middle is normal. Treat the type as a conversation starter for self-reflection, not a label. The letters follow the popular usage of these terms, not exactly Jung's original meanings. These preferences also overlap with Big Five traits, so the two lenses can echo each other.
- Energy
Where you tend to find and spend your energy: in your inner world or in the outer one. - Information
What kind of information you trust and notice first: concrete facts or patterns and possibilities. - Decisions
What you lean on when deciding: objective reasoning or the impact on people and values. - Lifestyle
How you like to run your outer life: settled and planned, or open and flexible.
Sources and method
Scores are computed in your browser from your 1 to 5 ratings: each statement is scored, reverse-worded statements are flipped, and the average per dimension is scaled to 0 to 100. The Big Five test adapts items from the International Personality Item Pool (IPIP, public domain). All other tests use original questions inspired by well-known research traditions; they are not affiliated with any commercial assessment.
Persona Lab tests are for self-reflection and entertainment. They are not a diagnosis, a clinical assessment or professional career advice.
