Thinking Style
Map how your mind likes to work things out.
People approach ideas and decisions in very different ways. This lens looks at four habits of thought: analysis, curiosity, abstraction and reflection. It takes about four minutes.
Rate each statement from strongly disagree to strongly agree. Go with your first instinct; there are no right answers. Keyboard: press 1 to 5.
What this test looks at
This lens places you on four spectrums of thinking, and each end has its own strengths. It measures how you say you usually think, not how well you think, and it says nothing about intelligence. Results are self-report and rough, and your style can change with the topic, your mood and the stakes. Read it as a description of your defaults, not a label.
- Analytical
Whether you lean on gut feeling or on step-by-step reasoning and evidence. - Curiosity
How much you follow your interest across topics versus staying on what is useful. - Abstraction
Whether you think in examples and facts or in patterns and general ideas. - Reflection
Whether you think out loud in the moment or mull things over first.

Scores are computed in your browser from your 1 to 5 ratings: each statement is scored, reverse-worded statements are flipped, and the average per dimension is scaled to 0 to 100. The Big Five test adapts items from the International Personality Item Pool (IPIP, public domain). All other tests use original questions inspired by well-known research traditions; they are not affiliated with any commercial assessment.
Persona Lab tests are for self-reflection and entertainment. They are not a diagnosis, a clinical assessment or professional career advice.
